This Sunday is our Communion Service, beginning at 10am and followed by a cuppa at 11am. For those who prefer a quieter, more traditional service, this is for you. Welcome!
Today we acknowledged those who fought and died in the Great War, as well as the contributions of those who served in other wars and peacekeeping operations, including the 250 New Zealanders currently serving overseas.
Alf was the officiating minister at the Northcote ANZAC Day service, and led us in a heartfelt prayer of remembrance. James and a friend laid a beautiful wreath made by Robin on behalf of the Community of St Aidans, Northcote. ‘Lest we forget.’
Cafe Church This Easter Sunday 20 April 9.30am
This week we celebrate Easter Sunday at Cafe Church, our family-friendly service which starts at 9.30 am with a shared breakfast/morning tea.
As always you’re welcome to bring a plate of something tasty, or else just bring yourself and join in the fellowship. (There’s always more than enough food!)
We celebrated Easter Day with a full house at our Cafe Church service. We welcomed members of St Lukes Methodist Church, as well as some families from our Friday Fun Nights, and it was nice to see a few new faces join us.
Our palm-decorated cross was transformed by the children with flowers in a visual display of the joy of this special day.
This week we’ve got some special services to mark Holy Week:
Thursday 17 April 7pm Tenebrae Service (Service of Shadows)
Friday 18 April 9.30am Good Friday Reflective Service
Sunday 20 April 9.30am Easter Sunday Celebration: Cafe Church
Kids n All is on this Sunday 6 April, and this week our theme is ‘stories’. Starting at 10am, our all-ages Kids n All service is great for those who like a more interactive service. This will be followed at 11am by our usual cake, cuppa and a chat.
