This Sunday will be the first service planned and run by our youth (with help from Roxy and plenty of pizza!). The themes will be around Pentecost and how we encourage diversity and unity within our church.
The service starts at the regular time of 10am, but will include table talk and maybe a few muffins!
Hope to see you all there.
On Friday 22 May we had another fun evening, with 26 children enjoying making animals, Arks, boats and rainbows.
After a dinner of homemade burgers, fruit and icecream the children trooped upstairs, where they listened spellbound to Roxy’s story of Noah’s Ark. We repeated our popular ‘crochet corner’, which kept Roxy, Fleur and Dalia all evening.

Communion Service and Congregational Meeting
This Sunday 24 May is a very special service. As well as holding Communion there will be the baptism of a treasured member of our Community. This will be followed by the ordination and induction of four new elders. We will also vote on who will be part of the Ministry Settlement Board. An important day!
Friday Fun Night is on again this week. This month the theme is Noah’s Ark, and we’ll have activities around boats, animals and rainbows!
Friday Fun Night is for children aged 5-12 years. It starts at 6pm, with dinner at 6.15pm and activities winding up around 8pm. Please ensure all children are collected by 8.15pm. Cost of $5 per child includes dinner and activities.
Please RSVP by Thursday morning (to email@example.com) to ensure your child’s place, as spaces are limited.
As part of exploring who we are at St Aidans Roxy and Alf took us through a potted history of the church from the time of Jesus till St Aidans Northcote as we are today. Both educational and at times hilarious! Thank you to all who took part.
This Sunday 17 May is Cafe Church, our family-friendly service which starts at 9.30 am with a shared breakfast/morning tea, then the service at 10am. This month we’ll be discussing ‘who are we?’.
Cafe Church is held on the third Sunday of each month, and has a focus on discussion and interaction. Toast, cereal and drinks are provided, but you are very welcome to bring a plate of something tastier to share if you would like!
Dinner Club 16 May
Dinner Club is on again this Saturday. This time we are going to Langkawi, a Malaysian restaurant in Milford.
The St Aidans Dinner Club meet up once a month for a shared meal at a local restaurant, where we order a variety of dishes (mix of mild and spicy, meat and vegetarian, as needed) and split the bill at the end of it. We choose BYO so those who wish can bring a bottle of wine. Part-way through we get up and move around so we don’t sit next to the same people all night. It’s a great way of getting to know people better, and a fun way to spend the evening. Carpooling is available for those who’d like a lift.
If you would like to join in this Saturday then please contact Andrea (by phone, or email firstname.lastname@example.org) ASAP so she can reserve the right number of spots.
At Sunday’s service we surprised Roxy with a cake to celebrate her birthday.
Thank you Jimmie for the lovely cake, we enjoyed helping Roxy celebrate!
