For our Palm Sunday service today we decorated the cross with ‘palms’ in readiness for Holy Week. This cross will be transformed next Sunday at our Easter Kids n All. Watch this space…
On Friday we had 25 children attend our Easter themed Friday Fun Night. Activities ranged from making Easter cards and baskets to decorating biscuits as chicks or Easter eggs, with the old favourite of table tennis to burn off any excess energy.
The children decorated a trayful of Easter chick biscuits to take around to our neighbours for Neighbours Day, held on March 29 this year. A couple of the older children helped Alf distribute the biscuits, which were happily received.
Friday Fun Night this Friday 27 March
It’s Friday Fun Night again this week, so time to send in your registrations! This week the theme is Easter, so there’ll be a selection of Easter crafts to make as well as the ever-popular table tennis for those who’d like to burn off a bit of energy.
With Neighbours’ Day coming up on the 29th there’ll also be an opportunity for children to ice a biscuit for St Aidans. Alf will be dropping off a decorated biscuit at the houses of those who live near St Aidans as a small gift for our neighbours. (Is your family doing anything for Neighbours’ Day? We’d love to know what’s happening in your neighbourhood!)
Friday Fun Night starts 6pm, with dinner at 6.15pm and activities winding up around 8pm. Please ensure all children are collected by 8.15pm. Cost of $5 per child includes dinner and activities.
Please RSVP promptly (to firstname.lastname@example.org) to ensure your child’s place as spaces are limited.
