This Sunday 28 June is our Communion Service, beginning at 10am and followed by a cuppa at 11am. For those who prefer a quieter, more traditional service, this is for you. Welcome!
Friday Fun Night is on again this Friday 26 June. This month the theme is crafts. There’ll be some crafts to choose from, an art project, balloon badminton, and for those who wish to learn chess we’ll have a giant floor game to play!
Friday Fun Night is for children aged 5-12 years. It starts at 6pm, with dinner at 6.15pm and activities winding up around 8pm. Please ensure all children are collected by 8.15pm. Cost of $5 per child includes dinner and activities.
Please RSVP by Thursday morning (to firstname.lastname@example.org) to ensure your child’s place, as spaces are limited.
Dinner Club is on again this Saturday at 6.30pm. This time we are going to Sagar, an Indian restaurant in the square on Mokoia Road (near Bakers’ Delight).
The St Aidans Dinner Club meet up once a month for a shared meal at a local restaurant, where we order a variety of dishes (mix of mild and spicy, meat and vegetarian, as needed) and split the bill at the end of it. We choose BYO so those who wish can bring a bottle of wine. Part-way through we get up and move around so we don’t sit next to the same people all night. It’s a great way of getting to know people better, and a fun way to spend the evening. Carpooling is available for those who’d like a lift.
If you would like to join in this Saturday then please contact Rachel or Andrea (by phone) or email email@example.com) ASAP so we can book the right number of spots.

This Sunday 21 June†is Cafe Church, our family-friendly service which starts at 9.30 am with a shared breakfast/morning tea, then the service at 10am. This month the topic is parables. Should be some interesting discussion!

This Sunday 14 June†is our service of Quiet Reflection. This is one of our more traditional services, starting at 10am and concluding with a cuppa and a chat at 11am. We’d love to see you there!
Kids n All is on this Sunday. Starting at 10am, our all-ages Kids n All service is great for those who like a more interactive service. It will be followed at 11am by our usual cake, cuppa and a chat. Hope to see you there!
Tonight is something for the adults; Come to Quiet at 7pm. This is our monthly session of contemplative prayer, which includes a short discussion on a reading, a time for fellowship with a cuppa, and of course a period of contemplative prayer. If you have never done contemplative prayer before, we will explain the basics to you before you put it into practice.
Contemplative prayer has much in common with meditation. “The root of prayer is interior silence…Deep prayer is the laying aside of thought. It is the opening of mind and heart, body and feelings-our whole being- to God…During the time of prayer we consent to God’s presence and action within…It is designed to deepen our relationship with Christ.” (Quotes from Father Thomas Keating)
Take some time out from your busy life and find some time to be still with God. You will be very welcome!
