This Sunday 26 April is our Communion Service, beginning at 10am and followed by a cuppa at 11am. For those who prefer a quieter, more traditional service, this is for you. Welcome!
ANZAC Day Service
This Saturday the Community of St Aidans will be represented at the Northcote Point ANZAC Day parade. Anyone who wants to march is asked to meet in the side street opposite the Bridgeway Cinema at 10.25am on Saturday 25th. We will be being marching down Queen Street to the War Memorial Hall at 2 Rodney Road, Northcote Point for the service, which begins at 10.45am.
Friday Fun Night is on again week. This month we’ll have activities around two themes: Mothers Day and ANZAC Day.
It’s the last FFN before Mothers Day, so there’ll be the opportunity to make cards for Mum as well as several Mothers Day gifts.
As it’s the night before ANZAC Day we will have a few ANZAC activities, including poppies to make and take home.
Friday Fun Night is for children aged 5-12 years. It starts at 6pm, with dinner at 6.15pm and activities winding up around 8pm. Please ensure all children are collected by 8.15pm. Cost of $5 per child includes dinner and activities.
Please RSVP promptly to firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure your child’s place as spaces are limited.
This Sunday 19 April is Cafe Church, our family-friendly service which starts at 9.30 am with a shared breakfast/morning tea, then the service at 10am. This month we’ll be talking about the resurrection. Should be some interesting discussion!
Cafe Church is held on the third Sunday of each month, and has a focus on discussion and interaction. Toast, cereal and drinks are provided, but you are very welcome to bring a plate of something tastier to share if you would like!
Don’t forget Movie Night is coming up on Friday 17 April. We’ll be showing ‘Paddington’, a family movie that’s just come out on DVD today! I’m told it’s a movie that all ages enjoy.
We’d love to see you for a shared meal to start the evening, before we settle down to enjoy the movie on our big screen. Please bring enough food for all your family so we have enough to go around. I’m sure we’ll come up with a lovely spread between us!
We’d appreciate a gold coin donation (maximum $5/family) to cover costs, as we have to pay for a copyright license to be allowed to show movies publicly.
Shared dinner starts 6pm, movie at 7pm.
This Sunday 12 April is our service of Quiet Reflection. This is one of our more traditional services, starting at 10am and concluding with a cuppa and a chat at 11am. We’d love to see you there!
On Sunday we celebrated Easter at our Kids n All service. Our shrouded cross was revealed then decorated with flowers. And what’s a good thing to do after you’ve helped decorate the cross? Have an Easter egg of course!
