5 October 1939 to 10 June 2020
We are sorry to have to record that Murray passed away on 10 June after a short illness. In the 3 years that we knew him on the North Shore, Murray had made many friends with his warm friendliness and sense of humour. He was a modest person and probably some heard for the first time at his funeral that he was a Professor of Soil Science at Massey University and had headed a research laboratory in Australia. Many of his long standing friends and his family from around NZ were able to travel to attend the Service at St Aidans.
He had very recently sold up his property at Gladstone, near Carterton in the Wairarapa, to join Mary Boyd at their new home together at Northbridge. Our deepest sympathies are with her and the family.
