Stated supply

Church Council has agreed to invite Rev Michelle Shin to take up a position of 50% stated supply ministry at St Aidans from beginning of June, and Michelle has indicated that she is interested in doing this. Congregational approval is now being sought so that we can progress with the invitation. Michelle was previously a hospital chaplain at North Shore Hospital, and she is known to many at St Aidans. She is currently a Minister with Hutt City Uniting Congregations, and finishes there at the end of April.

Proposed Team Ministry on North Shore

There will be a meeting about the proposed Team Ministry on North Shore on Wednesday 5th April at 7.15 p.m. at Mairangi Bay Presbyterian Church (vehicle access from 10 Penzance Road). Rev Lance Thomas who was involved in developing Team Ministry in Rotorua will be speaking, and there will also be an opportunity to ask questions and have some say about the proposal. This meeting is open to all, but they would like to have some idea of numbers attending. There is a sheet in the Church foyer for your name, or contact one of Executive Team. This should be a very interesting and informative meeting, and all who can attend are encouraged to do so.

Hospital Chaplaincy

St Aidans are ‘on duty’ at North Shore Hospital Chapel on Sunday 9th April. Please see Mary Boyd if you would like to help there.

Foodbank ‘treats’

As you know, we have a weekly collection of food which is taken to Salvation Army, Glenfield to help with their food parcels. We have been asked if we could include some small treats, such as Easter eggs, which would be gratefully received, particularly by parents who need food parcels for the family at this time. Thank you to those who have already donated treats, and for all your other food donations.
