Training Day/Retreat
A Training Day/Retreat has been organised for
Saturday 30th September from 9 till 3, with a shared
lunch. This is intended for all elders, and anyone
else from the congregation who would like to attend.
The day will contain some practical ideas for helping
with worship services, and it will also be an
opportunity to dream and vision the future of Saint
Aidans. Please consider attending, and contact

Connections with other Shore Churches
Working Together – Team Ministry A number of
people from Saint Aidans attended the August
meeting of Shore Churches where Michelle spoke
about her experiences as a Minister at Hutt City
Uniting Congregations. These meetings are growing
inter-church connections on the Shore.
Saint Andrews Birkenhead We remain in contact
with the Birkenhead parish, and Michelle will preach
there on Sunday 17
th September (our Café Church
service).
Saint George’s, Takapuna A very cordial meeting
took place at St Georges on August 25 between
some of our members and some of theirs. It looks
like there is potential for ongoing collaboration
between the 2 congregations. The church council will
be considering this further.
Pastoral Letter
During the next few weeks, Michelle intends to send
a Pastoral letter to all of the Community of Saint
Aidans, opening opportunities for conversations
about our aspirations and vision for the future of
Saint Aidans. Please look out for this and feel free to
respond. Your ideas are very important.

Working Bee
A HUGE thank you to all who came to help with
gardening tidy up, and those who provided the
excellent morning tea. The work done has greatly
improved the appearance of the Church garden and
carpark area – and we worked in (almost) sunshine
all morning, then it rained heavily all afternoon.
